Pet Rescue Shelter
I recently received a few pictures of cute dogs. They live in a shelter called Pet Rescue, in Miami, Florida. Turns out they have a lot of animals looking for a home 😦 They are a no-kill shelter, which means they take in animals and care for them until some kind soul adopts them. They have all kinds of dogs and cats that are waiting there for an adoptive parent. Can you imagine these cuties?? 😦 waiting there, hoping someone comes soon and takes them to a nice home. Running a shelter like this must be hard work for sure. Not only that, but caring for these animals also costs big money. This is why I wanted to post about them. If you live in the Miami area call them up and make them a visit. Who knows…you might find your bestest friend waiting for you. If you’re not close by you can still help them out by sending a donation. There are shelters like this one all over the country and they’re all in need, so be a friend and help out.

Bear and Cat Best Friends
More animal love stories!! My favorite 😉
This is the story of Muschi, the cat and Maeuschen the bear who live at the Berlin zoo. They have been best friends for about 8 years and they can’t stand to be separated. The Asian black bear is 40 years old. In bear years that’s pretty old so I guess the cat sits on the bear’s lap while they watch Wheel of Fortune. I kid!
These two really care for each other. Last October, Maeuschen was taken away and put in a cage while his zoo enclosure was enlarged. Muschi couldn’t stand to be separated from the bear and he stood outside the cage during the whole time. That caught the attention of the zookeepers and when Maeuschen’s place was finished, they allowed the cat to live inside. Now they’re both living happily and they share food, treats and fans that come to see them. So cute!!!! By the way, no one knows where the cat came from.

Donkey is Freed from jail!
After spending 3 days in the slammer, the Mexican donkey that supposedly attacked two men was released from jail. Mexican TV showed a video of the donkey named Blacky shortly after his release. Blacky’s owner had to pay a fine and was also ordered to pay compensatory damages to the two men for missing work. Blacky’s free!! yay! 😆 poor burrito…it must have been 3 boring days locked up.
Mexican burro in jail
A donkey is serving time in southern Mexico after he “allegedly” 😆 bit a man and kicked another at a ranch. The police were called to the scene and along with a few men were able to control the burro and take him into custody. Ok, we’re talking about a donkey here!! Turns out, the police in Chiapas, Mexico have the authority to jail any animal that commits a crime. They keep the animals until the owners pay for the damages caused by them. The donkey in this story has caused $420 (270 Euros) worth of medical damages. Keeping in mind that this is one of the poorest states in Mexico, $420 is probably the year’s salary of the donkey’s owner. What will happen to the donkey?!!! Well, it has happened before and animals have been kept jailed for a loooooong time, to say the least.

Cute Moms
I want to wish all the moms a Happy Mother’s day. Hope you enjoyed your special day 😉 I wanted to post some pictures of cute animal moms because it’s so endearing when we see how loving and caring moms are in general, even when they’re tiger moms. A mom’s love is special, I know, I’m a mom! he-he 🙂 It’s also true that you don’t mess with a mom…we’ll do anything to protect our young. In the animal kingdom the most dangerous animal is always the mom. Don’t mess with mom!! 😆
